"Hello."

At first you think the voice is coming from the face in front of you, but her eyes are closed and she appears to be sleeping!

"No, no, up here," says the voice. Above the sleeping face is another one, awake and alert and it's there that the voice originates from. "Yes, that's right. Here I am."

"Excuse me, but who are you?"

"Never mind that," the little face says. "All that matters is we know the way out of the Maze."

"Will you please tell me?"

"I'll do better than that. I'll send you there myself." The little face smiled. "Of course, you will have to answer some questions first to determine your worthiness. If you answer any of them incorrectly, you'll end up somewhere else ... but still inside the Maze." The face grinned. "Are you ready?"

"I have one more question. Who is she?" You point to the sleeping woman whose head he rests upon.

"Never mind that!" he answered quickly. "Well," he said after some thought, "I will tell you this. You have a choice. You can either answer my questions or wake her up and answer her questions. She'll send you out of the Maze, too." His smile widened. "Though I can't guarantee her mood when she wakes up." He waited a moment. "Well, what's your decision?"
